Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne, has been tested positive for COVID-19.

The 71-year old has been displaying mild symptoms only and is otherwise healthy. The official statement from Clarence House stated that the Prince has been working from his home as per usual. It has not yet been confirmed how Prince Charles has caught the COVID-19, as he has attended to many engagements during the recent weeks.

According to a royal source, the Prince of Wales was tested on Monday – his test results were out on Tuesday. His wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, has also been tested but her results were negative. Both Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla have been self-isolating in their home in Scotland. Furthermore, the source also stated that the earliest the Prince could have been infected is on March 13.

The heir to the British throne last met Queen Elizabeth II on March 12; this was before the Prince could have been infected. She is in good health and is isolated with her 98 year old husband, Prince Philip at Windsor Castle.
