While addressing different public gatherings in Meetakhel Kheshgi Bala and Payan where new power feeders were inaugurated, Federal Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak said that PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, former prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari will be behind bars soon.
Khattak claimed that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is running a protest movement to save Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari but now the blockade was enhancing. He also said that protests by the opposition have no justification and the PTI government would not be blackmailed through such tactics.
The minister said that the PDM opposition parties were countering the Senate elections through open ballot as they want to buy and sell votes. “In the past, these two major parties wanted elections through the open ballot but now they are opposing it,” Khattak added.
Mr Khattak alleged that all member parties of the PDM are part of the ‘alliance’ solely based on their personal interests and benefits. Furthermore, he added that their long march scheduled for March 26 to Islamabad will be a flop show because people believe that the alliance was formed to save corruption.
Pervez Khattak said that civilians continue facing problems because of the PPP, PML-N and other member parties of PDM. Moreover, Khattak cleared the air stating that Prime Minister Imran Khan had no personal enmity with the opposition as he only wanted accountability of corrupt elements.
