Recruitment for Karachi IT Park Has Been Commenced By The Government
The government have begun recruitment for the huge IT Park project in Karachi. Soon the contract awarding ceremony for business will also be held.
The government of Pakistan has started the recruitment of people for the IT Park which will be made in Karachi, the financial hub of Pakistan.
The Federal Government has chosen to build an information technology park near Jinnah International Airport, the metropolis’s commerce and economic centre. The Karachi IT Park plan has a total cost of Rs. 31 billion, and the South Korean government has promised to fund it. According to the MoITT, South Korea is slated to supply 85 per cent of the cash as well as technical assistance.
The file work has been finished, according to the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), and expressions of interest (EoI) from interested firms for a short design will be solicited soon for the IT Park.
Following the EoI shortlisting, a request for proposal will be issued, followed by technical and financial evaluations of the businesses. Following the end of this procedure, a contract granting ceremony will be held. The business will be recruited to produce a project plan for the Karachi IT Park roughly eight months after completing a brief design.
“This facility is part of the government’s aim to expand IT zones and software parks, as well as to establish mission software technology parks in key cities around the country,” a Ministry of Information Technology senior official stated. This facility, he continued, is part of a bigger government effort to establish purpose-built IT districts and parks in key places around the country.
The project would include a multi-story office structure with 8 floors above ground and three basement levels, which is expected to attract a slew of foreign enterprises and global IT organisations as investors.
The park, which is spread over a large area of 106,449 square metres, will serve as a meeting ground for business and education. Offices, daycare centres, facilities, security features, parking, and other amenities will be available.
In regards to how the Park would affect Economic growth, the project will promote the establishment of IT clusters, increase export income, and showcase Pakistan’s best IT innovations.
