Multiple publications stated on May 19 that the 34-year-old Grammy singer had given birth to a child with partner A$AP Rocky, 33. Chris Brown, 33, seemed to respond to the reports almost immediately with a mysterious social media post.
Fans noticed a “congratulations” remark with a love emoji and prayer hands emoji when scrolling through his Instagram Stories. He also included an emoji of a pregnant woman.
Chris and Rihanna had a tumultuous relationship. The pair used to date from 2007 to 2009, when a fight broke out well before the 2009 Grammy Awards.
Fans have turned against Rihanna’s former boyfriend Chris Brown after he wrote her a message congratulating her on her first baby’s birth with A$AP Rocky.
Brown tweeted ‘Congratulations’ on his Instagram Story, accompanied by a pregnant lady emoji, after TMZ revealed that the Barbadian musician gave birth to a baby girl on May 13 in Southern California.
Brown and the Diamond hitmaker dated between 2007 and 2009, but the rapper was arrested for beating his then-girlfriend.
Brown was still on parole for the violent event when the former couple resumed their affair in 2013, but it didn’t last long.
Fans slammed Brown on Twitter in response to the hip-hop musicians’ good luck message. One commenter said, “Chris Brown has absolutely no place congratulating our Queen Riri on the birth of her baby.”
“Another user slammed Brown, saying, “Chris Brown subtly telling Rihanna congrats on IG is top-notch poison.”
“Chris Brown’s “congratulations” to Rihanna are problematic because he has never demonstrated the same level of enthusiasm with his own children’s moms.” read the third paragraph.
