Rooh Afza Takes Us on Cultural Journey This Ramadan
Rooh Afza celebrates the fact that while we may be distant, our roots are still together on Ramadan through the cultural journey in its TVC.
Rooh Afza takes us on a cultural journey around the world through its Ramadan TVC. Starting off with a shot of the sun rising above the mosque, the ad moves on to a grandfather taking his granddaughter shopping in a bazaar.
With hot jalebis and bright bangles, the bazaar shows how Ramadan is often celebrated in Pakistan, with the shot ending with the grandfather giving Rooh Afza to the child. From baskets in bazaars, to trolleys in supermarkets to groceries in cars, Rooh Afza truly is a beverage for most socioeconomic classes in Pakistan.
The ad further moves on to girls getting mehendi in community celebrations of Ramadan, as Rooh Afza is being served. However, Pakistani culture is not the only one highlighted in this TVC – we see shots of families and children drinking the beverage in the Middle East too. Children are running around the streets, as adults are sharing gifts (include Rooh Afza) with one another.
The Ramadan TVC mentions that the beverage is an ambassador of our culture and traditions all over the world, with shots of various spots in the UAE (such as Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai). Families break their fast together, with a grandmother helping her grandchild drink Rooh Afza.
Rooh Afza has been famous for decades now, becoming a representative of Pakistan all over the world, and Hamdard celebrates the fact that while we may be distant, our roots are still together on Ramadan through this cultural journey.
