Street Food Festival DAY 1- Our Experience

Highlights of Day 1!

Street Food Festival 2018 Karachi opened it’s doors on November 16 and we were among the first ones to enter. We are foodies at heart and love some good music, so this was the festival for us!

Did the street food festival live up to it’s hype? YES! With 100+ eateries, live concert and even magicians and clowns at the scene; this was a fun filled event. We were excited with all the options we had and even spotted some of our faves like Wingitt, Mandi House, Paramount, Chips & Dips, Food Fusion and so much more!

We kicked off the festival with some churus from Churoisty and boy oh boy were they delish! The perfect way to start off our food journey. Light and airy with some caramel sauce to go with it; you definitely need to try them out.

Since wingitt was there, we had to get some of their chicken wings because how can you not? It’s no surprise that their wings were crunchy, juicy and filled with flavor.

After having the chicken wings, we had a craving for some chips and that led us to Chips & Dips where we tried out the Tornado. There were plenty of choices when it came to the sauce, but we went with Schezwan which was a blend of sweet and spicy.

The seating arrangement at the festival was quite good and there was even a desi dhabba type setup at one of the places. They were serving matka chai, kashmiri chai and many other delicious options.

We had chicken tacos from Bina’s Kitchen which were crispy but had a bit of a sweet taste to the sauce, which we didn’t like that much.

Wrappetite was serving these amazing burgers and before even tasting them, we were drawn in because of the red and black color of the buns. The red one was a Spicy burger and the black one was a black bean burger. Both were finger lickin’ good and we would recommend you to give them a try for sure.

Umair Jaswal also performed last night and we certainly enjoyed the music and his performance. Asim Azhar will also be performing on the 2nd and 3rd day, so you better grab your passes now!
