The Bun Story; A Scrumptious Escape!

once you step inside you will be blown away by this fairy-tale looking interior with jaw-dropping attention to detail!

A quirky little eatery which will appear like a cottage on the outside and once you step inside you will be blown away by this fairy-tale looking interior with jaw-dropping attention to detail! There are two areas to be seated; one is giving a ship-like feel with a window like giving their impression as though you are set a sail on a ship complete with a helm, which aids with the steering of the ship.

A perfect spot to bring your kids to for a birthday party, playdate or even a casual dinner with family. They will thoroughly enjoy the experience along with the delectable food which will appeal to almost everyone’s taste buds given the variety. Contrary to the name, the eatery provides more on the menu then just its buns though they are the specialty. Rice dishes and pasta are also served which are tantalizing to the tastebuds too.

Here’s what we ordered:

Delicious flavored stuffed buns,  with a variety of fillings. Made fresh and served to you piping hot. The fillings stuffed within are extremely succulent and make the bun even more delectable.

Given the name of the restaurant, it was only fair that we ordered an array of buns to try out whether it lived up to its specialty or not. The buns were Pillowy with a soft crumb as you bit into it. Complimenting it were two sauces, one was garlic sauce and the other was a yogurt based green chili sauce. Both of which were home-made and not the typical out of bottle ones which most restaurants opt for.

Hunter Beef

Pulled marinated beef was stuffed into the buns; the shape of this bun was quite distinctive as well. The beef was quite tender and juicy which made this bun a definite standout. Hunter beef is essentially the Pakistani version of salted dried beef.

Lemon Garlic

Lemon and garlic herbed chicken mince stuffed into these long buns. We were more than happy with this order. The bun texture made it distinctive as well.

Chicken Barb-e-que

With the shape of a hot-cross bun more like, this bun was filled with bite-sized chicken pieces which were drenched in barbeque sauce giving off a smoky flavor. However, the only downside of this specific bun was that it could’ve done with a bit more filling.

Pineapple Cream

An elongated cone bun filled with pineapple cream with diced pineapple chunks. Served hot with cream oozing out from the center.

Chocolate Bun

A cross between a croissant bun drizzled with thick chocolate on top.

Blueberry Colada

A twist on the typical Pina-colada, with a blueberry flavor to it while remaining true to the original pineapple flavored concoction the addition of blueberry flavored syrup just adds to it, making it an unseemly yet delicious drink that is equally refreshing.

Butter Beer

Inspired by the Hogwarts Butterbeer, this is a halal take on it. Atop with fluffy whipped cream and caramel syrup served in a tall pint glass.

Service

As for the staff, The waiters were quite well-versed in the menu options and taking in mind our personal preferences helped in selecting our food.
