Two of The Most Famous Cartoons From 1990s Are Making a Comeback

All the 90s or early 2000s kids know that modern cartoons have nothing on the cartoons we watched. The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's home are coming back.

Any youngster from the 1990s can confirm that the infamous Cartoon Network was our station. Hardly anything from now compares to the original platform in modern cartoons. Two of the cartoons, Powerpuff Girls and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, are receiving reboots, which we think will be a pleasure for today’s kids.

The reboots are being developed at Hanna-Barbera Studios in partnership with Craig McCracken, as per The Hollywood Reporter. In 1992, he began his artistic career with Hanna-Barbera Cartoons. He is resurrecting the 2 most famous cartoons of our generation after thirty years.

In a statement, Sam Register, president of Cartoon Network Studios, Warner Bros Animation, and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, stated that the Hanna-Barbera homecoming of Craig was a chance we could not pass up. And that he’s bringing back two of his finest works, The Powerpuff Girls and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, alongside his unrivalled sense of fun and creativity, and we are so happy for these icons to be a part of the emerging heritage starting to take shape at the production company.

This will not be the first relaunch of The Powerpuff Girls; after the original lasted from to 2005, there was a revival on Cartoon Network from 2016 to 2019. The latter, however, was not directed by McCracken because he was working at Disney at that point. The CW also created a live recording of the plot starring the 3 superpowered girls as adults, which is currently in the works.

The forthcoming revival will look similar to the original. It will centre on the three superhero girls who attend to school throughout the day and save the globe at night while attempting to get home before bedtime.

Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, on the other hand, will welcome new residents. It will be recast as a preschool series, introducing more pre – kindergarten imaginary friends.

Sarah Fell, executive producer of Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe and famous for The Amazing World of Gumball, will supervise the production of both projects. The 2 sets will be released worldwide.
