3 Dead, 15 Injured in Explosion, Gulshan-e-Iqbal
Officials from the Edhi Foundation reported that 3 people have died & 15 injured after an explosion in a multi-storey building near Muskan Chowrangi.
While 3 passed away, 15 others have sustained severe injuries after an explosion in the upper portion of a residential, multi-storey building located near Muskan Chowrangi. Officials have affirmed that the deceased and injured have been rushed to the Patel Hospital.
According to the footage, the infrastructure has been damaged completely as the explosion has apparently taken place on the second floor of the residential building. Witnesses report that it was heard in multiple areas, windows of nearby buildings along with vehicles were damaged.
Police and other Law Enforcement Agencies arrived at the site shortly after the explosion took place and have cordoned off the area. Although the cause of the explosion has not been determined yet, Mubina Town police SHO said that it “seems to be a cylinder blast”.
Sindh Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and has sought a detailed report of the explosion from the Karachi Commissioner. The chief minister has also directed authorities to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured and expressed grief over those who died.

Ali Zaidi, PTI Minister offered “prayers and sympathies” to the victims of the blast and also called on the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident.

This has taken place just five days after an explosion at the entrance of a bus terminal near Sheerin Jinnah Colony. The explosive device was fitted in a motorcycle parked outside a tyre shop near the bus terminal.
Inspector-General of Police Mushtaq Mahar has also taken notice of today’s incident and has alerted senior superintendent of police (SSP) East to “immediately submit” a report on the details of the blast and police involvement in the investigation.
