50 Crore: The Pakistani Money Heist?
As teasers of the new movie, 50 Crore, hit the internet- it leaves fans in a confused state, as the movie holds striking similarities with Money Heist.
Pakistani people are in a state of shock as a teaser of the new movie 50 Crore released over the internet. Fans are speculating that the plot and looks are quite similar to the popular Netflix show ‘La Casa De Papel,’ more famously known as ‘Money Heist.’
The teaser of the movie includes several famous personalities such as Faysal Qureshi, Aijaz Aslam, Zhaley Sarhadi, Saboor Aly, and many more. The actors are all named after a city in Pakistan and have been portrayed as convicts. With Aijaz Aslam as Rahim Yar Khan, Saboor Aly as Sahiwal, Asad Siddique as Mir Pur Khas, and more. 50 Crore looks like a visible rip off of the show Money Heist; so much so that fans have begun to call it the Pakistani Money Heist.
Faysal Qureshi is named ‘chief’ in the movie, fans have speculated his role to be quite similar to The Professor in Money Heist. Other actors in the movie, 50 Crore, include Asad Siddiqui, Mehmood Aslam, Faryal Mehmood, Anoushey Abbasi, Naveed Raza, Omer Shehzad, and Nouman Habib.
As pictures from the movie began circulating the internet, it received mixed reviews; while some of the audience appreciated this effort from the industry and the new looks taken on by the actors in 50 Crore. Others were not as pleased about it; they went on criticizing the movie and how its plot and teasers look almost identical to Netflix’s Money Heist.
Furthermore, Aijaz Aslam, a cast member for the movie 50 Crore responded to the fans’ questions and criticisms by releasing a video and asking the audience to patiently wait eight to ten more days. He claims that it is too early to be making any sort of assumptions or speculations, the audience must wait for the entire information to be released before making any judgments.

50 Crore is something out of the box for the Pakistani cinematic industry. Even though it does look strikingly similar to Money Heist, we would like to give the actors and directors the benefit of the doubt that this will turn out to be a smashing hit and the introduction of new stories into the industry!
