9/11 attacks and its aftermath on Pakistan

18 years have been passed since the world was struck with horrors of 9/11 attacks leaving nearly 3,000 deaths in the heinous act of terrorism. After the attacks, numerous countries allied with United States and reunited to support the country. Pakistan was one of the countries, which joined as ally in the war against terrorism. Therefore, being the upfront ally in anti-terrorist military operation, Pakistan faced a lot of difficulties like destruction, death and other socio-political pressures and complexities.

The attacks were witnessed by thousands of people on site, millions saw the attack unfold   live on television. Photographs and videos are being replayed countless times on social platforms.in the remembrance of the victims.

But what exactly happened to life in Pakistan before the brutal 9/11 attacks?

As it is difficult to picture Pakistan without weakened economy, terrorist bomb blasts, and conflicting quota. It is hard for most of the population to understand that before the atrocious 9/11 attacks life in Pakistan was rather a peaceful and normal one. However, after the open alliance of government of Pakistan with U.S ended the peace here in Pakistan and life became more complicated than ever.

The anti-terrorism campaign brought terrorism in Pakistan, to tackle the terrorism in country military operations took place. In remote areas where the literacy rate is low, people have strong beliefs in strict cultural and religious norms. Therefore, it became easy for terrorist to brainwash and mold people especially children towards anti-national attacks.

Terrorism have changed the positive mindset of people for government to negative thoughts. Moreover, it has a very negative economical, social and political impacts on the population. Terrorism has divided  socio, nation and political country’s authorities towards the government and state. The anti-state mindset has resulted in masses which is till causing poor socio-political policies.
