The heart of Amsterdam is ‘the Dam’. In the 13th century, the dam was built here in the river Amstel. The name of the city was born. There is this legend that two fishermen found the city of Amsterdam. The first ‘Amsterdammers’ were fishermen and merchants. The reflection of this prosperity can be seen in the construction of monumental and architectural masterpieces.

HISTORICAL ATTRACTIONS:

1-House of Anne Frank:

As a visitor, you experience this story through audio tours, original items on display, quotes, pictures and videos. It is one the most popular attractions nowadays in Amsterdam.

2- Museum Van Loon:

Amsterdam and its historical attractions-runway Pakistan This gracious, beautifully ornamented canal house dates from the late 17th century and is a virtual time capsule of decorative arts, family treasures and city history. Purchased by the Van Loon family in 1884, the home was filled with their portraits, furnishings and goods. Instituted as a museum in 1974, the canal house was meticulously restored, and its interior and landscaped grounds are open to history buffs and lovers of architecture and design alike.

3- Old Church (Oude Kerk):

Amsterdam and its historical attractions-runway Pakistan (1)A big and monumental church De Oude Kerk is the oldest and for centuries was the most important church in Amsterdam. Standing in the church’s main entry, you will be amazed to see a coffee shop just left to it, windows with sex workers in front of it. De Oude Kerk features things characteristic for the Catholic cathedrals across Europe. Like sculpted misericords in the choir, high windows full of light, impressive old gravestones on its floor and exceptional architecture.
