Baber Azam Accused of ‘Rape’
A woman has filed a petition in court for registration of FIR against cricket team captain, Babar Azam who she claims, allegedly blackmailed and raped her.
Hamiza Mukhtar has filed a petition in court for the registration of an FIR against the national cricket team captain, Babar Azam who she claims, allegedly blackmailed and raped her. She claimed that they had an illicit relationship, and when she got pregnant, the cricketer had her abort the child and consoled to her with promises of marriage.
All relevant medical documents have been attached by Hamiza Mukhtar that apparently provides evidence of her abortion and illicit relations with Azam. She approached Naseerabad police to register an FIR against Azam. After this, she claimed the national cricket team’s captain assured her that he will marry her which resolved their issue temporarily.
However, the woman claims that ever since Baber Azam has risen as a cricket star, he has been avoiding her and has also refused to marry her. Upon registering the FIR, Hamiza Mukhtar claims that the police officials seemed reluctant. To this, judge, Nauman Muhammad has sought a reply from the concerned police officials by December 4, 2020.
In addition, Hamiza Mukhtar has registered for another FIR against family members of Azam for allegedly threatening her of consequences and harassing her ever since she accused the cricketer.
