Ban on Shamoon Abbasi's film 'Durj' has been lifted and it finally received the 'No Objection Certificate' from Pakistan's censor board.

News of the lifted ban on Durj was shared on their Facebook’s official page recently stating,

“Attention to all the #DURJ fans, friends and supporters out there. This morning we got the confirmation news and are extremely happy to announce that the ban on #DURJ has been lifted and finally, it’s Official!

To all you Durjians out there, GEAR UP!
#DURJ is now coming to #PakistanWe would also like to take this moment to thank our esteemed censor board for their immense cooperation in the matter and for making #DURJ accessible to the people of Pakistan.

Talking about subject ‘Durj’ is based on a case and occurrence of cannibalism in Pakistan. When two brothers were arrested in 2011, in the case fro digging up graves and taking out fresh corpse. They were sentenced to jail for two years.

Due to the ban on Durj in Pakistan its release dates were also postponed in Gulf countries. But now the hard work of directors, actors and the whole team has been paid off.
