Bloomsbury: Here Are Our Thoughts On It

To kick off our weekend, we went to Bloomsbury for lunch. It wasn’t very packed, which we were glad about since we wanted to relax and enjoy a quiet meal together.

We ordered Parmesan Chicken, Jalapeno Chicken and Fish & Chips. Their customer service wasn’t that amazing since it did take them a while to serve our food. However, when the food hit our table it looked mouthwatering and we dived in instantly.

The Parmesan Chicken had 2 big fillets of chicken served with a delectable cheesy sauce. The chicken was nice and succulent, however we feel like there should have been a bit more sauce. This dish was served with mashed potatoes and boiled veggies on the side. The veggies were nice but the mashed potatoes lacked seasoning. We would give it 3.5 stars out of 5.

Let’s talk about the Jalapeno Chicken now. A creamy sauce with chunks of jalapeno was served on top of pan fried chicken pieces.

The sauce wasn’t as spicy as the name gives off, but it wasn’t too bad. Again, this dish was served with mashed potatoes and veggies. We would rate it 3.5 stars as well.

Moving on to Fish & Chips, it lacked flavor as compared to the other two dishes. The fish was crispy and cooked well, but there was no flavor to it so that left us a little disappointed.

The fries were good and so was the tartar sauce, so that balanced things out. This dish would get 2.5 stars out of 5.

One thing that left us really disappointed was their customer service. Although the manager continued to ask if we were happy and comfortable with everything, but the waiters were very slow to respond. We even ordered a soft drink which never got to our table.

The buffalo chicken tacos and jalapeno prawn poppers are two things we really want to try from Bloomsbury, so we probably will be heading back very soon. Stay tuned!
