- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar

- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts, if you want
How to make the chocolate chip cookies:
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F
Step 2: Mix the dry ingredients together except for brown and granulated sugar
Step 3: In a bowl add butter and all the sugars together with an electric mixer and or spoon until fluffy
Step 4: Add egg and vanilla into the butter and sugars mixture
Step 5: Add the dry ingredients to the mixture as well

Step 7: Add chocolate chips and nuts to the dough and mix
Step 8: Place tablespoon size dough onto ungreased sheets 2 to 3 inches apart
Step 9: Put the dough in the oven and let it be for 8 to 10 minutes or until they look light brown
Step 10: Let the cookie cool on sheet and baking tray for 2 minutes
Step 11: Take out the cookies and let them cool for 30 minutes completely
