CM Punjab: 13 SEZ Will Bring Millions of Jobs
CM Buzdar mentioned that projects like the Allama Iqbal Industrial City will help Punjab recover from the COVID-19 economic impact.
The Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Usman Buzdar, says that this government started the special economic zones (SEZ) in just two years, considering that only 3 SEZ had been established in the past 73 years. The Punjab Government has started their work on the 13 SEZ to bring millions of job to the unemployed people of the province.
CM Buzdar added that the Allama Iqbal Industrial City will be established in Faisalabad, and will be situated on 3000 acre land, creating jobs for 300,000 people. There will be space for around 550 industrial units to establish themselves in the industrial city.
The Punjab government plans on inviting international companies to the province for investment purposes. They will be implementing a one-window systems to help firms invest.
Furthermore, CM Buzdar believes that this will be the opportunity to provide employment, and more projects like the SEZ will help Punjab recover from the COVID-19 economic impact.
