Dr Faisal Sultan Appointed as new SAPM for Health

PM Imran Khan has appointed Dr Faisal Sultan as the new SAPM for National Health Services following Dr Zafar Mirza's resignation.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has appointed Dr Faisal Sultan as the new Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for National Health Services following Dr Zafar Mirza’s resignation. Mirza’s resignation came after Tania Aidrus’s resignation from her post of SAPM for Digital Pakistan.

Dr Faisal Sultan is known as the CEO of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (SKMCH&RC). It is noteworthy that the hospital was founded by PM Imran Khan in 1994.

He completed his graduation from the King Edward Medical College University, Lahore, in 1987. Furthermore, he has postgraduate degrees of Diplomate American Board of Internal Medicine (1992) and Diplomate American Board of Infectious Disease (1994).

Dr Sultan is a consultant physician on medicine and infectious diseases, and as such will be a valuable asset to the government.
