Foodpanda, Domino’s to Serve Frontline Workers
Foodpanda and Domino's have partnered to serve frontline workers to bring a little comfort to their life during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Frontline workers have probably been some of the impacted individuals by the COVID-19 pandemic. They have had to leave their homes behind to help our nation tackle COVID-19. Many of such workers include health professionals, who isolate themselves from their families to keep them safe. Thus, Foodpanda and Domino’s partnered to serve such frontline workers to bring a little comfort to their life during this pandemic.
Through this collaboration, Foodpanda and Domino’s are providing free food to frontline workers – their first shift of meals has been provided to health professionals at Mayo Hospital in Lahore. The food delivery platform has served more than 8000 meals to medical practitioners in Lahore, even before the collaboration with Domino’s. The initiative was greatly appreciated and the food delivery platform aims to expand it to different cities as well.

Saylani Welfare is also working with the Ehsaas Program to provide food for the underprivileged through its mobile soup kitchen facility. The key is to ensure that people do not gather at one place while getting food and other resources.
According to Dr Sania Nishtar, “The Ehsas-Saylani Langar on Wheels will not only address the hunger and nutritional needs of the impoverished, but also provide us with an opportunity to connect with them, respond to their requirements and educate them about precautionary guidelines to fight the war against coronavirus.”
