Generation Gap

Generations, despite any day and age, have their set mind and rules which invariably are difficult to mend. We all think of kids to be like soft clay, and by the time they grow up, the society in which they stay largely constitutes their upbringing. The rest is determined by the norms that they all live by.

The major reason behind why today’s parents and children are moving away from each other is generation gap. The mind and lifestyle of a child totally depends on the changing environment. Interfering in other’s matter is something that today’s generation totally dislikes, they don’t like parents ordering them or forcing them to do something because they believe they know what’s better for them and then it takes the situation to such a point where children start misbehaving with their parents.

The question is what the reason behind all this is? Generation gap is basically created by the people themselves. They don’t talk to their children and refrain themselves from understanding their children. The parents are just too busy with their work and jobs that they don’t have time for their family and their children. They realize it only when there has a huge distance between the kids and the parents.

Generation gap takes place due to poor communication or lack of thereof between parents and children. Having different opinions and different values also leads to generations gaps. Parents should understand this thing that children need some space. They should keep an eye on children but should not impose on them any restrictions.
