Getz Pharma Donates COVID-19 Tests to Sindh Govt

Getz Pharma is doing its part in tackling COVID-19 by donating 15000 tests, 1.9 million tablets of HCQ 200 and 1500 units of PPE to the Sindh Government.

Getz Pharma is one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Pakistan, and they are doing their part in tackling COVID-19 by not only donating 15,000 testing kits to Sindh Government, but also around 1.9 million tablets of Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ 200). The tablets are anti-malaria drugs and have been used around the world for extreme cases, and had been approved by the Punjab Government in the end of March.

Furthermore, Getz Pharma donated 1500 units of PPE for doctors and healthcare workers,. These have been dispatched to more than 50 hospitals, isolation wards, quarantine centers and clinics across Sindh, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Larkana.

The donation from Getz Pharma CEO Khalid Mahmood was received by Sindh’s Health Minister Dr Azra Pechuho. Senator Murtaza Wahab expressed his “heartfelt appreciation and gratitude” for the donation.

Getz Pharma had assured the Sindh Government that they will completely support and aid in their fight against COVID-19, and the CEO also emphasised on the need for Public-Private Partnerships in such times.
