Gujrat: 6 Month Old Baby and 4 Doctors Test Positive

After her father was declared a COVID-19 patient a week ago, a six month old baby girl tested positive in Gujrat, as well as four doctors. The baby girl is being kept at home while her mother gets tested.
Out of the four doctors who tested positive for COVID-19, 2 belong to the Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital (ABSTH), and the other 2 are a medic couple. This news comes after a senior doctor had tested positive a few days ago. This spreading has led to the local administration sealing any private clinics being run by these doctors.
The medic couple were running a private practice and had just returned from a Tableeghi mission. The husband had also gone for a Friday prayer despite having a fever and other symptoms. It was only after the locals informed the authorities was the doctor tested and sent into isolation. By Monday, both husband and wife had tested positive for COVID-19.
As of now, 317 out of 428 suspected patients have tested negative for COVID-19 in Gujrat. By Monday, 61 of the total had tested positive. On Tuesday, the health department tested 55 more suspects and around 100 people’s tests were waited for. We pray for everyone’s health, including the 6 month old baby, her family and the 4 doctors.
