Hadiqa Kiani, Ali Tolga Honor Martyrs from Kashmir, Turkey
Featuring Turkish singer Ali Tolga Demirtas, Hadiqa Kiani released "Diami Bahar" to commemorate the Kashmir Martyr's Day and Failed Coup Attempt in Turkey.
Featuring Turkish singer Ali Tolga, Hadiqa Kiani released a new song to commemorate the Kashmir Martyr’s Day (1931) and Failed Coup Attempt in Turkey (2016). The song is named Diami Bahar (translates to Eternal Spring), and is mainly sung in Turkish with bits in Urdu.
The mixture of the two languages emphasise on the unity between Pakistan and Turkey, and the video has focused on the hardships both Kashmir and Turkey have faced in the past. They have added videos that show the problems that Kashmiris in Indian Kashmir are facing, and have also added clips from the failed coup attempt in Turkey in 2016.
Hadiqa has been known to sing in various languages, and it is definitely not the first time she has sung in Turkish. A few weeks ago, she had sung a cover of Sen Ağlama, a famous Turkish song that was originally sung by Sezen Aksu, to pay tribute to the famous television show Diriliş: Ertuğrul.
The Boohe Baariyan singer has mentioned in the past that she likes to sing a song in the native language of the places she used to visit in her touring days. She also mentioned that she had originally sung Sen Ağlama in 2005, when she was visiting Turkey.
We are loving the new music Hadiqa Kiani is producing, like Diami Bahar with Ali Tolga, as it emphasises on the hardships that both Kashmir and Turkey have faced.
