Haier Pakistan Donates to Government for COVID-19

One of the companies fighting the COVID-19 is Haier Pakistan, who has recently donated their second batch of PPE to the Government.

While COVID-19 seems to not take a break from spreading across the nation, many of Pakistan’s companies have been donating to tackle the disease. People are using face masks, goggles and protection equipment to avoid getting infected, however because of the extensive use of these protective gears, there is a huge shortage of medical equipment from the market of Pakistan. One of the companies fighting the COVID-19 is Haier Pakistan, who has recently donated their second batch of PPE to the Government.

Haier Pakistan donation to the Government of Pakistan included: 4000 N95 Masks, 50,000 Nitrile gloves, 4,000 Goggles, 20,000 Surgical Masks, 4,000 Face Shields and 1,500 Protective Suits. The material was handed over by Haier to the Pakistan Embassy in China and delivered to Pakistan on urgent basis through a special aircraft.

Haier Pakistan CEO Javed Afridi also tweeted about the donation yesterday (April 10), saying that the PPE will be handed over to the NDMA next week. He also added that Haier Pakistanaspires to stand together with the medical workers across the country” – this way the company will help the Government tackle COVID-19.
