HEC & Microsoft Introduce Certification From Home Platform

Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Microsoft have launched a service to provide students with a Certification from Home Platform. According to the agreement between HEC and Microsoft, the first 2000 to register on the Certification from Home Platform will receive the certifications for free.
The initiative is to help narrow the gap between education and employment, as students will be able gain more skills during the pandemic. Microsoft has been a partner of HEC over the last decade when it comes to improving the usage of information technology (IT) in the higher education sector.
Both public and private universities are covered by this partnership, as multiple programmes are aimed towards providing youth with multiple platforms in order to aid them build their capacity and globally showcase their potential.
Microsoft Certification from Home Platform will provide the students with a curriculum roadmap – a blueprint for technology skill development and certification. The areas of study that are available include Productivity, Computer Science, Data Science, and IT Infrastructure.
Certifications such as MTA (Microsoft Technology Associate) and MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) will be useful to the individuals who wish to validate their skills in order to advance in their careers.
The exams cover all the productivity tools in Office 365 and also include tech focused certification paths. One of the certification paths is Cloud Fundamental, which covers Azure Fundamentals, Dynamics 365 Fundamentals and Microsoft 365 Fundamentals.
The students will be able to develop marketable skills along with their theoretical knowledge during the COVID-19 pandemic with the help of Microsoft Certification from Home Platform. Not only will they be able to learn their chosen technology area remotely via in-depth tutorials and self-study videos, but they will also be able to give exams online.
