Islamabad’s Three day Tourism Festival- A Revival of the rich Culture in Pakistan

A three-day Tourism Expo and Family Festival took place over the weekend in Islamabad's F-9 Park, to boost tourism in the country.

A three-day Tourism Expo and Family Festival took place over the weekend in Islamabad’s F-9 Park, which took place to boost tourism in the country by opening doors for socio-economic growth by introducing Asian art, culture, and food to people and other recreational activities such as paragliding, wingsuit flying, sky diving, power gliding as a part of the Field Marshal Paragliding Championship. Moreover, concerts also took place, one of them hosted by the infamous Ali Azmat, a great way to further entertain people.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistani and Human Resource Development Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari urged the citizens to visit the festival. He claimed that Pakistan is an ideal spot for adventure tourism and Islamabad is blessed with beautifully carved landscapes and thriving wildlife habitat with a clean environment. 

The idea of the three-day Tourism Expo was directed by Prime Minister Imran Khan to promote tourism in the country and to create more jobs. Paragliding is an affordable activity and the youth should participate in these recreational activities.

The festival had been organized by Pakistan Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association in collaboration with Cutting Edge Group. It was also attended by Information Minister Shibli Faraz, Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Minister for Power Omer Ayub Khan, Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr. Fehmida Mirza, and CEO of Cutting Edge Chaudhry Shahzad Akhtar.

Mr. Akhtar also stated that there are only a few places blessed with the wonders of nature such as that similar to Pakistan and it is essential that we take responsibility to share our culture, craft, arts, exquisite cuisines, and music with the rest of the world. Ms. Mirza also added to this, she said that Islamabad is one of the most beautiful and safest cities in Asia. Hereby, the three-day tourism festival was launched to increase tourism in the country and provide an opportunity for people to become a part of recreational sports.
