JK Rowling Launches Harry Potter at Home
Harry Potter at Home is a website launched by JK Rowling that features quizzes, games and other activities. She announced the initiative via Twitter.
As the pandemic rises, JK Rowling has launched Harry Potter at Home for families that are in lock down. In her statement, Rowling stated, “The teachers, parents and carers working to keep children’s lives as normal and happy as possible while we’re all on lockdown deserve a bit of magic. I hope these initiatives will give children and even adults a happy distraction during their enforced stay-at-home time.”
What is Harry Potter at Home?

During the month of April, free audio and digital editions of the first Potter book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (known as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in US), will be available on the website. To make this magic happen (pun intended), Rowling partnered with the audio publisher-distributor Audible and the library e-book supplier OverDrive.
Furthermore, Harry Potter publishers Bloomsbury and Scholastic, will also be contributing material for both the Potter Website and their own websites.
