On Thursday morning, Karachi faced yet another black-out; the third of its kind within a week. According to reports, power supply was suspended from 5 am to 6 am, but most places spend a solid 3-4 hours in the dark.

The areas most affected were Defence View, DHA, Model Colony, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and Mehmoodabad.

K-Electric (KE) chose to provide an explanation on Twitter stating that the supply from National Grid to the city was off and they were working on restoration.

Throughout the week, Karachi has faced almost daily electricity outages and the citizens took to social media to express their frustration over it.

This anger wasn’t well-received, and soon enough KE stopped replying to the public’s queries only increasing people’s exasperation.
