Meghan Markle’s Royal History
The former Suits start married Prince Harry in 2018 at Windsor Castle in a televised ceremony that was watched by millions all over the world. However, the couple were not comfortable with the British Media, and felt that their behavior – especially towards Markle – was beginning to get intolerable. One example was when she had to sue the Sunday Mail.
It was after this point in January 2020 that Harry and Meghan announced that they were stepping back from being Senior Royals and giving up their royal duties. They stated that they planned to seek financial independence. Since late 2019, they have been based in Vancouver Island and wish to settle there after there duties end on March 31st.
