Pakistan Cricket Team To Participate In T20 Tri Series In October

The Green Shirts will play in a T20 tri-series against Bangladesh in Christchurch, New Zealand, from October 7–14, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board.

This T20 Tri-series is a component of the squad’s planning and preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup eventually this year, as per the PCB.

According to the press announcement, On October 7th Pakistan will play with Bangladesh and New Zealand the following day.

“Pakistan will face New Zealand and Bangladesh in the second round of matches on October 11 and 13, respectively, with the final planned for October 14,” the PCB stated.

According to the PCB, Pakistan will begin their campaign on October 23 against the Indian Cricket Team.

“They will then continue playing qualifiers in Perth on October 27 and 30, before facing South Africa in Sydney on November 3 and Bangladesh in Adelaide on November 6.”

Captain Babar Azam seems ecstatic about the upcoming tri-series.

He said he is delighted that they will be taking part in the tri-series in New Zealand because it will allow them to travel early and not just acclimate for the T20 World Cup in Australia but also put the finishing touches on their preparations Azam was quoted saying by the PCB.

He missed the last series in New Zealand owing to a thumb injury and now Azam said he is looking forward to playing cricket against two excellent opponents in Christchurch.

Pakistan will leave for Christchurch on October 4 after finishing their seven-match Twenty20 International series against England on October 2.

Before the England tournament, Pakistan will compete in the ACC T20 Asia Cup, which will be held from August 27 to September 11 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The schedule for the T20 Tri-series is

  1. October 7 — Pakistan v Bangladesh, Hagley Oval, Christchurch
  2. October 8 — Pakistan v New Zealand, Hagley Oval, Christchurch
  3. October 9 — Bangladesh v New Zealand, Hagley Oval, Christchurch
  4. October 11 — New Zealand v Pakistan, Hagley Oval, Christchurch
  5. October 12 — Bangladesh v New Zealand, Hagley Oval, Christchurch
  6. October 13 — Bangladesh v Pakistan, Hagley Oval, Christchurch
  7. October 14 — Final, Hagley Oval, Christchurch
