Pakistani Student Put Into A 14 Day Quarantine

A Pakistani student has been put into a fourteen day quarantine after he had exhibited symptoms synonymous with the coronavirus.

Fear has gripped the country as many dread that the coronavirus has made its way into Pakistan. Such sort of speculation grew as a result of the breaking news that a Pakistani student might have contracted the virus. Arsalan Amir, a Pakistani student from Wuhan, arrived into the country three days ago.

The student has been put under a fourteen day quarantine at a private hospital. His situation is being closely monitored by health officials. The hospital staff has sent his body fluids to the capital for health officials to test whether the student has the virus or not.

The breakout of the virus has prompted health officials in the country to take extra measures. For instance, isolation wards have been set up across the city. This has been done to ensure that there is a secluded area where patients of the virus can be treated. A ward has been set up at the airport to inspect passengers arriving from China.

Fears of the disease spreading across the country was enhanced significantly after the arrival of Pakistanis from China on Monday. There has been a great debate about whether to allow Pakistanis from China to re enter the country. On one side many believe it is the duty of the government to protect its citizens. Whereas the other side argues that bringing Pakistanis back from China can have catastrophic results for the rest of the country.
