Pakistan’s Truck Art is in the Air

From the highways into the skies, Pakistan's renowned truck art has entered the aviation industry as a two-seater Cessna gets painted.

Pakistan’s truck art is a defining feature in the nation’s culture. After gaining much international recognition, it has become a major export for Pakistan. After garnering admiration from artists across the globe, a flying academy, Sky Wing has decided to take the flamboyant art technique from Pakistan’s highways into the skies.

An example of this famous cultural export is UNESCO. They use truck art, blended with indigenous themes, to promote girls’ education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. (KPK)

Sky Wing is painting a two-seater Cessna aircraft with truck art. Speaking to press, Imran Aslam Khan, chief operating officer of Sky Wings stated: “We want to show the world that Pakistan is not all about [the] Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and terrorism issues; it [is] a very diverse country and a land of opportunities.”
