PM Imran Khan not in favour of dividing Sindh

Imran Khan rejects MQM-P's demand for dividing Sindh into a separate state.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf is not in favour of creating a separate province within Sindh, PM Imran Khan made this clear on Friday during his visit to Karachi. Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan has been demanding a separate province to be formed out of Sindh. He further mentioned that there will be no need for division after implementation of the local government system in Sindh, which has already been introduced in other provinces such as KPK and Punjab.

PM Imran Khan said:

“The PTI is against creation of another province in Sindh. After introduction of the PTI’s new local bodies system there would be no need for any kind of division in the province,” 

The meeting was attended by Federal Minister Faisal Vawda, Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Khurram Sher Zaman, Haleem Aadil Sheikh, Ashraf Qureshi, former chief minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim, Pakistan Muslim League-Functional’s Sadruddin Shah Rashdi, Nusrat Sehar Abbasi and Nand Kumar and others.

He blamed the previous governments for the current crisis in the province and mentioned that he ‘cannot spare thieves’ and termed his recently appointed team as ‘experts’. He mentioned that it is high time for all the Pakistanis to unite and put forward examples of European nations which faced crisis after the World War but they never lost hope.
