ISLAMABAD: According to a Foreign Office statement issued today on Friday, Prime Minister Imran Khan is set to visit Saudi Arabia on the special invitation of King Salman bin Abdul Aziz to attend the Future Investment Initiative Conference (FIIC)

It is said that the PM Khan will travel to Riyadh on October 23rd in order to participate in the two-day conference, which will host businessmen and hi-tech industry representatives from around the globe. this is a great opportunity for Pakistan to interact with all the important business heads who are interested in investing in Pakistan.

It is also said that during his second visit as a PM, Imran Khan will meet King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman Many participants of the conference are not attending, after the news of Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi came to light. Pakistan weighed in on the incident and asked Turkey and Saudia Arabia “to jointly address the matter”

The new of the visit comes after Pakistan’s central bank warned about the inflation and who it would likely double in the year to come, hitting a 7.5% – while the country’s growth target rate of 6.2% would likely be missed.
