President Donald Trump Accused of Rape Says She Is ‘Not My Type’

Trump denies all accusations of rape. This isn't the first time he has been accused of sexual misconduct.

President Donald Trump has said that her accuser E. Jean Carroll is lying, it never happened and that she’s not his type. E. Jean Carroll accused Trump of sexual misconduct in a department store in mid-1990s to which he completely denied and said that it’s not true.

He said in an interview at White House on Monday:

I’ll say it with great respect: number one, she’s not my type; number two, it never happened

Elizabeth mentions that a friendly encounter with Trump turned out to be horrific as he pushed her up against a dressing room wall and tried to force himself upon her. Elizabeth pushed him back after a bit struggle and ran from the store. Nobody saw it as there was no one in that section of the store and she didn’t even try reporting it.

Jean Carroll said:

I wanted to forget it. I thought A, my fault; B, I was stupid; C, I didn’t think of it … as rape. I thought of it as a violent incident. I thought of it as a fight.

During the 2016 election campaign, many women came out and accused Trump of sexual misconduct. Trump has denied all accusations and said that all the women are lying.

It’s so sad that even in this era; women cannot report sexual assault without hesitation. This whole mindset that a woman must be lying about a sexual misconduct needs to be eradicated as no one wants to be under the limelight like this. Voices need to be heard and movements like #metoo need to be supported.
