Rihanna’s Fenty Fashion House is Closing Down!

Rihanna's Fenty Fashion House is being suspended after less than two years of production.

A giant conglomerate, Rihanna’s Fenty Fashion House has decided to call it quits. The luxury goods group Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton and Rihanna started this fashion house in 2019, making Rihanna the first woman and person of color to be added to the LVMH group.

The pandemic created great challenges for fashion brands, not excluding brands such as the LVMH group. Both LVMH and Rihanna have mutually agreed to put their ready-to-wear activity on hold, till better conditions. The pandemic has caused many brands to suffer major losses and still continues to do so.

Fashion analysts also conclude that although Rihanna has a huge fanbase, the Fenty Fashion House label’s prices were too high for most of them.

The clothing brand has been inactive on its Instagram account for a few months and there were no signs of any new launches for this year. Hence, the decision to put their clothing brand, Fenty Fashion House on hold. Thereby, the LVMH group has pledged to concentrate on the long-term development of the Fenty brand.

They have expressed that they aim to concentrate on Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skincare for the time being and also expressed getting involved in Fenty’s successful lingerie venture.
