Rohail Hyatt No Longer Coke Studio Producer

Senior member of Coke Studio's production team, Rohail Hyatt has stepped down as Coke Studio producer ahead of the upcoming season.

The speculations began when the celebrated musician became active on his inactive Twitter account where he shared gardening tips and gave his opinions on Senate elections. Rohal Hyatt seemed to have been adopting a new lifestyle.

Upon speculation from fans that he has once again stepped down from his position at Coke Studio, Rohail Hyatt replied: “I am sure CS is being planned but not by me,” adding, “Social media is a great place to figure out if one is neutral or biased in any way. I am using it as a tool to measure my own imbalances. Seems to be working well for me.”

While talking to the press, Rohail Hyatt confirmed the news of him stepping down as Coke Studio’s producer. While he may not be producing the show anymore, the rumour is that he is still associated with Coke Studio in a less direct capacity.

Xulfi to put Pakistani music back on trackThe Vital Signs founding member launched CS in 2008 and took a break after six seasons. Rohail Hyatt returned as the producer for the show in 2019 and produced the following two seasons. Despite its consistency in maintaining its standards regardless of the changes in producers, Pakistanis eagerly await the new producer. The rumours are that the top contender for Hyatt’s position is none other than Xulfi.

When asked to confirm the rumours, Xulfi said: “For now, the only thing I can tell you is that nothing is confirmed or concrete at the moment. But, having said that, we never know. This could be the year. Let’s see what the future holds.”

This year, CS will also be releasing a Pakistan Day special that is being produced by Hamza.
