Introducing the newest cricket league, ‘Sindh Premier League’, a joint venture with the Government Of Sindh.
There was a warm welcome given by Naveed Ahmed, Director Operations SPL. Following this, a brief about the project was given by President SPL, Arif Malik. The overview of SPL was given by Malik Aslam who is the Chairman of SPL. Furthermore, a speech was given by Special Assistant to CM Sindh, Sports Department, Arbab Lutfullah, a note by Provincial Minister of Sindh for Local Governments, Nasir Hussain Shah on the development of cricket in Sindh, along with Information Minister Sindh, Sharjeel Memon who talked about the focus on bringing cricket to Hyderabad as well.
Introducing the newest cricket league, ‘Sindh Premier League’, with a focus on cricket development and providing opportunities for emerging cricketers from the region of Sindh. The league will be played in the month of June with 6 teams participating in it. A key collaboration with SPL is by the Government of Sindh, with Abdul Razzaq being the Mentor of SPL, and Shahid Afridi being the Brand Ambassador SPL. The league is an initiative of the Government of Sindh. It will see six teams compete in a Twenty20 format.
Cricket fans in Karachi, Hyderabad and other cities of Sindh will be able to witness some of the best players from Pakistan and around the world. Keeping up with its commitment to promote sports in Pakistan, all media channels will broadcast all matches on their digital platforms, which will also make it available on its digital platforms and accelerate the growth of Sindh Premier League to reach new heights.
The teams have been named after famous cities of Sindh and other parts of Pakistan, including Karachi Ghazis, Benazirabad Lals, Hyderabad Bahadurs, Sukkur Patriots, Mirpurkhas Tigers, Larkana Challengers.
All in all, this league is sure to provide the cricket loving fans of Sindh with a thrilling cricketing spectacle.
