Halloween season is buzzing with excitement, people are already way ahead of time and have brought all the decorations, put up spiders and ghosts and are waiting with their hot chocolates for the day to arrive. The same cannot be said about the People here at Pakistan, one of the main reason being its hot as hell, it’s the time of the year when every university student has mids due and it’s the sun’s game is strong in October!!
Here are a few movies that’ll be helpful in this stressful month of October that is filled with assignments, papers, and mids, with Halloween approaching it’s time we binge watch all the old “scary and spooky” movies about ghosts, witches and the ones from beyond the grave!!!

Casper the friendly ghost is one of our all-time favorite movies, the plot is about a family of two, a dad and a daughter who move into a “haunted” mansion only to meet not just one but 4 ghosts, Casper is the fun, human loving ghost who just wants to be friends with everyone but the same cannot be said about the other three, if you have not watched this classic movie go and watch it right now.
- Nightmare Before Christmas:
If we’re going towards more animated movies then The Nightmare Before Christmas is the way. The movie is fairly recent yet it is loved many many children and adults alike. Tim Burton is a genius and so are his creations and no doubt this one is the same. Two of our favorite holidays mixed together? What more can we ask for? A must watch!
- Scooby-Doo:
Our all-time favorite cartoon character Scooby-Doo adapted into a real-life movie is all we could ever ask for. The Scooby-Doo movie is one of the funniest movies with a plot line of its own, entertaining, thrilling and just downright funny, a little spoiler for those who haven’t watched it yet is that the ending is not what you expect.
- Monster House:
This movie all about a house. Yup but not just any house a house that is Haunted! No adults believe these three children when they try to tell the adults that there is a living creature residing in the house that means them harm. With Halloween approaching, the trio must find a way to destroy the structure before innocent trick-or-treaters meet ghastly ends. A must watch!
- Coraline:
The story about a little girl Coraline who has moved into a new house that she does not like and while exploring she discovers a secret door, beyond which lies an alternate world that is just like her know but better and more fun but that is until the Other Mother does not want Coraline to leave and stay with her forever. Truly scary!
