Tourism Boosts According to PM Imran Khan

Prime Minister Imran Khan has been on a conference tour being held at Switzerland, and he says his Government has boosted Tourism.

Imran Khan had been on a conference that is happening at Davos, Switzerland. The conference goes by the name ‘Pakistan Strategic Dialogue’. Here, Imran Khan has discussed many issues that his government has over come. Amongst all, Imran Khan told in the conference that his government has helped boosting tourism in Pakistan.

Tourism had been on a downfall since the Global War on Terror. Since Pakistan allied with US, Pakistan had to go through much. According to the Prime Minister himself, around 70,000 people have been killed. And many more had been injured. Due to US drone strikes, the tourism industry had seen a bad decline. It went to an extent that the hotels in Swat had to be rented for free of any cost.

However, Imran Khan now claims that this has been overcome by the current Government. “In terms of tourism, Pakistan is perhaps one of the most undiscovered countries in the world. It has one of the oldest civilisations, the Indus Valley [civilisation] which is 5,000 years old, and has sacred places for four religions,” Imran said.

He previously also told, “The legacy of the 80s, where we were left with these militant groups (Taliban) still operating in Pakistan, this was the first government that has now disarmed them and tried to rehabilitate them.” According to him, this was a big barrier in tourism in Pakistan.

Well, nothing to deny about, we have seen many different vloggers come to Pakistan in the last one year. They have marketed the Pakistan Culture and the tourism in country in general. We further hope to see tourism boosting in the country. Because well, who doesn’t love their country to be promoted after all?
