UFC 249 : Tony Furguson Vs Justin Gaethje

The UFC fans were quite disheartened when UFC 249 got called off, and Khabib vs Tony got canceled one more time. This was the fifth time their fight didn’t take place due to some reason or other. However, it was Khabib who backed out claiming it is dangerous to fight during such Pandemics, which was true. However, the fight is taking place. And it is taking place between the two most loved players, Tony Furguson & Justin Gaethje. The two would be fighting for the ‘Interim Lightweight’ title. Here is a small overview of the two UFC fighters.

Tony Furguson:

At the age of 36, Tony Furguson has won 25 fights, whereas, he has lost 3 of them. Making his debut in 2011 in UFC, he has been proving himself the best. He won his last fight against Donald Cerrone due to doctor’s stoppage. Now his next fight is against Justin Gaethje. While Tony at the moment stands at a height of 1.8m and is currently weighing 70.3 Kg. His reach is of 194.3 cm, which indeed is fascinating.

Justin Gaethje:

Justin Gaethje made his debut in UFC in the year 2017. It seems like it was late for a martial artist to join UFC at that particular point when everyone was on the rise. However, Gaethje managed to make his mark in the championship. Today he stands with 21 wins and 2 losses. Not bad at the age of 31. Gaethje too has a height of 1.8m and is currently weighing 70.3 Kg. His reach however, is 177.8 cm, which might or might not be a help to him.

The fight will take place on 9th may 2020 and would be PPV. Hence will be screened on ESPN only. Who do you think will win this fight?
