Waziristan: Pak Army Soldiers Death Toll Rises to 6

After attacks from across Afghan border at the security posts in Waziristan, 2 Pakistan Army Soldiers died on the spot. The martyrs' number has risen to 6.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that as a result of terrorist gunshots from across the Afghan border, at the security posts in Bajaur and North Waziristan tribal districts, Havaldar Tanveer, Pak Army Soldier lost his life on the spot while others suffered from severe injuries.

“Terrorists fired from across on Pakistan Army post along Pak-Afghan Border in Bajaur”, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar tweeted. O

The attacks took place yesterday, October 14. This isn’t the first time such attacks have taken place at Bajaur. Previously, on September 22, another Pak Army Soldier, Sabir Shahlost his life. This occurred after an exchange of fires with terrorists in South Waziristan’s Shakai Valley.

The injured Pak Army soldiers, Asad, Amir Munir, Nazir, Asif Daud, Ashfaq Mukhtar and Havaldar Pervez. They were taken to CMH, Bannu. The ISPR added, “Area [has been] cordoned off for clearance operation,” the ISPR added.

A statement issued today by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) revealed that one officer and 5 Pak Army soldiers lost their lives in an IED attack.

The names of the departed souls are listed below.

Capt Umar Farooq, age 24 years

Naib Subedar Riaz Ahmed, age 37 years

Naib Subedar Shakeel Azad, age 44 years

Havaldar Younas Khan, age 36 years

Naik Muhammad Nadeem, age 37 years

Lance Naik Asmat Ullah, age 30 years
