Yasir Hussain is Trending on Twitter After Commenting About International Stars
The cast of Ertugrul received a lot of fame and appreciation not only in Pakistan but across the globe. However, some Pakistanis, like Yasir Hussain, have issues with them taking over the media here.
International stars, especially the cast of Turkish, have been all over Pakistani media recently. Due to Diliris Ertugrul, the cast of Ertugrul received a lot of fame and appreciation not only in Pakistan but across the globe. The show tells the story of Ertugrul who was the father of Osman Ghazi, not quite literally as there’s not much known about his life. However, some Pakistanis, like Yasir Hussain, have issues with them taking over the media here.
I get why many are having trouble dealing with the cast taking over the media, which is the source of bread and butter of many people. The cast has been getting brand promotions like Jazz, who has done a whole campaign with Halime Sultan played by Esra Bilgic. She was also featured on the cover of a well-known magazine in Pakistan. Apart from that, Engin Altan, who plays Ertugrul, became the brand ambassador of a real estate brand. But, to be honest, there’s no reason to be this impolite against them.
The cast has gotten to this point due to their hard work and dedication. Not accusing anyone here that they’re not working as hard, everyone has their own pace but there’s no point in being rude to others. The cast of Ertugrul is receiving appreciation and promotions because they deserve it and also because our audience likes the content they put out.
Due to his statement where he calls foreign artists as ‘international garbage’, he’s been trending on Twitter for quite a while now. The internet has gone cuckoo over what he said and cannot get enough of him. The hashtag #YasirHussainIstheRealGarbage is trending today as well.

I don’t think trolling Yasir Hussain like this is the right way to tackle this issue. Just because he passed insensitive comments does not mean we all should also act the same. There can be a better way of making people realize what they shouldn’t say on social media about others, and we’re not really helping by acting like this. I believe there are bigger issues in the world than this and I do respect Yasir Hussain, but he needs to understand the sentiments of others before passing on such comments.
