Ye will no longer be performing at the Grammy Awards
The singer has been pulled from the show taking place on April 3.
Ye, who went by his former name Kanye West, will no longer be performing at the 2022 Grammy Awards.
The singer was pulled out from the line up due to his online behavior which resulted in him being suspended from Instagram.
According to reports, Ye had been suspended for breaching the company’s policy on hate speech and bullying.
Ye used his social media to harass his former wife, reality star and business woman Kim Kardashian. He did so by constantly appealing to his former wife to come back to him, through social media.
Things became serious after the singer got into an altercation with “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah. The altercation resulted in Ye using a racial slur to insult Noah, an act that clearly violated Instagram’s policies.
In light of these actions, the organizers of the Grammy Awards, have decided to pull Ye from the line up.
Despite being pulled from the event, the singer’s album “Donda” has been nominated for Best Album at the event.
The 2022 Grammy Awards will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 3. Some of the artists performing at the event include Billie Eilish, BTS, Lil Nas X and Olivia Rodrigo.
