Zindagi Tamasha and The Ever Growing Controversy
Ever since the release of its trailer, the film Zindagi Tamasha has been broiled by controversies over what many see as on offensive depiction of religion.
Ever since the release of its trailer, the Sarmad Khoosat film has been broiled by controversy. The film has sparked a huge outcry among the religious community across the country. Many religious clerics have condemned the film for what they believe is a blasphemous depiction of Islam. The clerics believe that the film tarnishes the image of Islam and seeks to misrepresent it.
These allegations have been denied by the film maker himself, Sarmad Khoosat and the entire cast and crew of Zindagi Tamasha. The film has since undergone a review by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). As part of their review, they have also invited members of the Council of Islamic Ideology to take part in the review of the film. However, nothing much has been done ever since.
The latest controversy surrounding the film is the threat made by TLP leader Khadim Hussain Rizvi. The TLP leader said that the film is an offense to the Islamic faith and that he will make sure that he will prevent the release of the film across cinemas in the country. The TLP has also issued threats of insinuating protests across the country. This prompted the Federal Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to postpone the release of the film.

It comes as no surprise that the Pakistani film industry has come out in full support of the film. Many celebrities have condemned what they believe is an attack on free speech. They see the outburst against the film as a form of religious extremism.
