28-year-old woman gives birth to quadruplets in India
A woman belonging to UP's Gonda gave birth to quadruplets on Wednesday night.
A 28 year old woman gave birth to quadruplets in India’s Uttar Pardesh. The babies were completely fine and all of them survived according to the doctor.
There haven’t been many cases of quadruplets being born and surviving as many times are a lot of complications in such cases. This woman from Gonda district named Rehana successfully gave birth. She was brought to the hospital in the afternoon due to some complications but she managed and on Wednesday night, she became a mother of 4 babies.
It’s the first case of its kind in my entire career so far when a woman, who conceived normally, delivered four babies and all of them survived
said Dr Asha Mishra who is a gynecologist in the capital of Lucknow.
When it came to the feeding part which obviously was a big task as the new mother could not feed all of her babies at once hence the hospital took care of that and made necessary arrangements for the nutrition of the babies.
It would be difficult for the mother to breastfeed all four babies, hence we have made arrangements to ensure they get the nutrition needed for growth
said Dr Mishra
As it was a pre-mature birth, the hospital has kept the mother and the babies under supervision and is monitoring their health and will discharge them soon.
