All Airports Allowed to Operate Domestic Flights

CAA has issued a notice allowing all airports in Pakistan to operate domestic flights. PIA launched a scheme allowing passengers 73 kg baggage, along with a 14 percent discount on flights.

Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a notice allowing all airports in Pakistan to operate domestic flights. Originally, the decision excluded Turbat, Pangjur, Dalbandin, Zhob, Pasni, Moenjo Daro, Nawabshah and Bahawalpur airports.

All the airports will be required to follow SOPs and would have to get prior approval for scheduling from a competent authority. Cargo, special flights and private aircraft operations would also be available for all airports subject to compliance with relevant SOPs.

Pakistan had shut down its domestic flight operations in all airports on March 26 due to COVID-19. In the past 4 months, they have only operated in certain airports to ensure that the economy does not fall further.
