Amber Heard Diagnosed With Personality Disorders According to Psychologist
Amber Heard suffers from a borderline personality disorder and histrionic personality disorder, according to a clinical psychologist who testified in court.
On Tuesday, a psychologist appointed by Johnny Depp’s attorneys revealed in his lawsuit involving his ex-wife Amber Heard that she has double psychological disorders.
Shannon Curry, a forensic and criminal psychologist was hired to do testing on both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard to check for their mental condition. It was revealed in December 2021 that she had reviewed Heard’s health records and privately examined Heard for 12 hours spanning over two days.
Curry stated, “She had scores that were consistent with those diagnoses.” She believes, the 36-year-old Criminal Mind actress, Amber Heard suffers from a comorbid Histrionic and Borderline Personality Disorder.
Curry, who has worked with US war veterans, believes Heard did not develop PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) as a response to the reported family violence.
A borderline personality disorder is characterised by “a bunch of inner wrath and aggression,” a drive to be “self-righteous,” and “frequently changing emotions,” according to Shannon Curry.
“They have the ability to respond brutally and aggressively,” she remarked. “They are frequently abusive to their relationships.” She described it as “almost acting”
After cross-examination, Amber Heard’s lawyers attempted to undermine the psychologist’s evidence by pointing out that she had been engaged by Depp’s representatives to speak on his side.
According to her, Heard “grossly inflated” her PTSD symptoms in the testing she was given. Depp has rejected ever physically attacking Amber Heard and has consistently asserted during the prosecution that Amber was regularly aggressive.
“Wouldn’t you be a specialist in this issue if you couldn’t uncover something that was in favour of Mr Depp and against Miss Heard?” Curry was questioned by Elaine Bredehoft, a counsel representing Heard.
