Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli Fight India’s Battle Against COVID-19

The latest celebrity couple to extend their helping hands in India’s battle against the Covid-19 crisis are the power couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. The two have recently created a fund to donate to organisations working towards providing aid to those in need.

The news was revealed in a video of the two posted by Virat Kohli on his Instagram account.

“Since the Covid-19 outbreak, our country is going through trying times, our health systems are being challenged, we need to come together and help our India,” Vrat Kohli wrote, adding that he and his wife Anushka Sharma were stepping up to play their part as responsible citizens.

“Anushka and I have started a campaign on Ketto, to raise funds for Covid-19 relief, and we would be grateful for your support. No amount is too small to save lives. We will do everything we can to make a difference, but we need your help to fight this,” Virat Kohli added.

“I urge you all to join our movement. Let’s do our part to keep our country safe and strong. Thank you.”

Twinkle Khanna managed to arrange 100 oxygen concentrators to be brought directly into India through the United Kingdom.

Adding onto the comments made by her husband Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma grieved over the overburdened healthcare system in India. Currently undergoing a crisis, she said it was heartbreaking “to see our people suffering.”
