Bank Alfalah Provides Support Under Ehsaas Programme
Bank Alfalah proudly announced recently that it is one of the two exclusive partners of the Prime Minister's Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme.
Bank Alfalah has proudly announced that it is one of the two exclusive partners of the Prime Minister’s Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme. This is a Rs 144 billion project that is aimed at supporting communities throughout the country that are impacted negatively due to the COVID-19 pandemic lock down.
PM’s Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme is the biggest social safety net strategy in our nation’s history. In the first phase itself, 1.5 million beneficiaries located in the remote areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir were asked to visit selected locations where Bank Alfalah teams were also present to ensure smooth delivery and support the beneficiaries of Ehsaas Programme. Later phases will expand this initiative across Pakistan. Each eligible family will be receiving Rs 12,000 to meet their financial needs.
In Bank Alfalah’s tweet, they stated that they are “are ready to cater to beneficiaries from our most vulnerable communities” with their “country-wide branch and ATM network”.

To provide support to the beneficiaries, certain Bank Alfalah locations are being opened on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for easier access. To reduce exposure to COVID-19, fresh currency notes have been deployed at these locations for the cash disbursement. These selected locations are following strict social distancing measures and Bank Alfalah’s teams are coordinating closely with the Government for quick and safe processing.
Through the EhsaasKafalat programme, the government and Bank Alfalah have partnered in the past. This programme supports deserving women across the country.
